Origins of Saluna

Benjamin-smiled* I'll be careful mother *he started to dig in* mmmm

The next day, his mother did as she said and packed enough long life food for the day and headed him the sack of food, "I there some cheese in there too." she smiled and kissed his cheek, "Be safe and let your aim be true."

Benjamin-thank you mother *He smiled* I'll see you soon *He started to head off*

Heading deep into the north of the village, to the day camp sight that was used before. Were the remains of a fire pit was only ashes and a dirt circle to where a tent could be set up. On the way there were some signs of deer were around this time.

Benjamin-smirked* Ok...today will go better *he started to track one of the animals*

There was a small group of deer in the clearing not far from came but near the edge of the Haze.

Benjamin-that haze again...but still I should be able to handle this *He pulled his bow back and and took aim* Quick kill and it won't be a problem *He let the arrow loose*

The deer jumped out of the way and ran towards the haze and vanished into it.

Benjamin-someone's playing with me I know it...but if there are deer around...then those spiders aren't out anymore...ok...ok I can do this *He started to move into the haze*

The Deer had gone through the Haze and into a small clearing in that area, eating the grass thinking it was all safe. Looking out still, no sign of the spiders.

Benjamin-*he drew his bow back and fired this time striking the deer in the heart*

The animal went down and there was no sigh of anything coming out of the woods.

Benjamin-started to slowly move forward and looked around, then picked up the deer and headed back the way he came*

Once back as camp, the first order of business was to gut and skin the freshly killed deer. But unaware he was being watched by a sorta of small visitor.

Benjamin-ok that actually went pretty good, he moved slightly away from camp so nothing would be attracted to the guts while he slept that night as he got to work* This is a good quality...this should really help us for the next little bit.

Then when half way through, a rustling came from the bushes. And out came a spider about a big as a medium sized dog. It made a chittering noise of curiosity.

Benjamin-looked over at it and held his gut knife but wasn't sure if there were many more so he didn't make any threatening moves*...easy there.

No other spiders came out it was a lone spider and something would say...a young spider. It came over poking it front legs at the deer's dangling head.

Benjamin-was quiet and just watched the spider, not moving*

It looked at him, getting curious of this new person and the area.

Benjamin-easy there buddy, you don't hurt me I won't hurt you *he didn't make any threatening gestures*

The spider came back and was poking the deer head again.

Benny-it's dead buddy, I needed him to feed my family.

It kept poking at the head, like....it was saying...'i want it'.

Benny-...I can't...I can't give you all of it...I can give you a little bit *He carved off some of the meat and tossed it next to the spider*
